Adventist Youth Ministries Training


The Master Guide certification is the highest non-academic level of youth ministry training within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

CYE partners with the Lake Union Conference Pathfinder Ministry Department to frequently offer Master Guide classes on the campus of Andrews University.

Adventurers/Pathfinders/Master Guide Training

Hi everyone,  The Lake Union club Ministries training workshop will take place February 15-16, 2019.   This weekend event will provide an excellent opportunity for Adventurer and Pathfinder Staff to knock off major items on their journey towards Master Guide or continuing their education for youth ministries.  


Location: Chan Shun Hall on the campus of Andrews University.


TRACK 1:  Pathfinder Basic Staff  (detailed schedule).  For Pathfinder staff, parents, and 3rd & 4th year Teen Leaders in Training (TLTs).  An introduction to the operation of the Pathfinder Club.  A prerequisite to Master Guide Pathfinder track and advanced AYMT pins.

TRACK 2:  Master Guide Leadership Skills  (detailed schedule).  For Master Guide candidates in both Adventurer and Pathfinder tracks. Seminars include child and youth evangelism, communication, leadership and resources.  Prerequisite: Basic Staff.

TRACK 3:  Pathfinder Leadership Award  (detailed schedule).  Further education past the Master Guide level.  Prerequisite:  Master Guide.
